Dogs need exercise and in today's busy world many dog owners have difficulty finding the time to give their "best friend" the walks he needs and deserves. PET PATROL has an all-weather Daily Dog Walking Program, Mon. thru Fri., where your dog will enjoy a minimum of 1 hr. of activity, running and hiking on a variety of Marin's fire roads with a small group of other dogs, or socialization and play at the park.
The dogs get to socialize with each other on the journey to and from their adventure, and look forward to picking up their buddies along the way. We always carry plenty of drinking water on hot days, and request that you leave towels out for clean-ups during the rainy season, when the dogs have fun swimming and splashing around in the water holes and creeks.
I can't stress strongly enough how important it is to your dog's sense of well-being to be able to get out in the open air each day and experience the joys of life, sniffing, running, barking and exploring. PET PATROL fulfills this need in your dog with our Daily Dog Walking Program.
For your dog to be included in one of our groups we need to know that he/she is non-aggressive, well-socialized, enjoys the company of other dogs, has had some obedience training, and is current on shots. Please make sure that your dog is on a flea/tick control program. All dogs must wear current ID tag and License.
Mostly the dogs are taken for hikes on Marin County Open Space District fire roads. We are required by MCOSD to have a Commercial Use Permit for this activity and are held to a very high standard by the Open Space authorities. We are limited to six dogs total per hike, with only three being allowed to run off-leash at a time on Open Space fire roads. However, we usually keep our groups smaller - and the typical group is 3 or 4 dogs. If we encounter a Ranger we could be asked to demonstrate that the dogs are under voice control and will come to us with a 15 second recall, so we work on training them with a clicker and treats.
