I am Kay Poole and my passion for animals prompted me to form PET PATROL. My aim is to bring happiness, love and security to the animals in my care and to make sure you have the peace of mind knowing your pets are being cared for according to your wishes.
I was born in England and moved to California in 1984. I think I was born loving animals - it just seems to be built into me. I have spent my life surrounded by furry critters and have a lifetime of experience as animal lover and caretaker.
After spending many years in secretarial-type jobs in the UK, sitting behind a desk shuffling papers, I decided that as I was now living in the "land of opportunity" it would be a wonderful thing to be able to fulfill my dream of working with animals ... so PET PATROL was officially launched in 1995.
The first couple of years was spent building up the business and during this time I didn't take one day off, no vacation, no sick days, not even a weekend!! But I made good use of this time, developing loving relationships with my furry clients, learning a lot about animal behavior with hands-on experience, taking many pet care courses and seminars, including pet first-aid.
I now have a wonderful team of pet lovers who help with the pet visits and walks, some of whom have been with PET PATROL for many years.
